​With a career spanning Off-Broadway, regional theatre, television, radio, comedy, and improv, I bring a deep foundation in performance and a rich, grounded vocal quality to my narration. From warm and heartfelt to sharp and comedic, and with a strong command of dialects and vivid characters, I am equally at home narrating Literary or Gothic Fiction, YA, narrative non-fiction, satire, or Self-Help.  Additionally, through my many years as a teaching-artist specializing in theatre dance and tap dance, I have a comprehensive knowledge of American dance and theatre history and have particularly enjoyed sharing with students the stories of impactful but lesser known figures that history often overlooks.

I am also the co-creator of *The Chalks*, a satirical country band blending original music and comedy where I've existed for over 20 years as my alter-ego, Country Music Superstar Judeen Chalk. We've performed on TV, radio, in theatres, cabarets, and honky-tonks nationwide. Our music has aired on radio stations throughout the U.S. — and as far afield as Sweden, Belgium, and Guam.

 

When not recording polished, broadcast-quality audio from my professional home studio, I may be found dancing the mambo, playing the cajon, or baking your favorite treat.
